From Idea to 10,000 Monthly Users: How We Powered an Arab Startup’s Automotive Platform Launch

CarHubApp is a fully integrated digital platform designed to centralize automotive services, allowing service providers to offer diverse solutions within one ecosystem. The platform prioritizes exceptional user experience, service quality, and convenience for car owners.
Initiated in January 2022, the project advanced from concept to a fully operational non-technical prototype within six months. This prototype served as the foundation for extensive testing and valuable user feedback. Since the initial release back in 2023 the mobile app manage to gain for less than 6 months more than 10 000 users.

The Problem

The Chaos of Car Ownership

When we began the project, one issue quickly became impossible to ignore. Across the region, maintaining a car was a fragmented and often chaotic experience. Simple tasks like checking the oil, topping up fluids, or visiting a service center happened in completely different places, with no clear structure or continuity.

For most car owners, what should’ve been routine care turned into a frustrating, time-consuming hassle—and that’s where our journey started.

As we moved through the discovery phase and deepened our understanding of both the industry and its users, a clear pattern emerged. Across the region—and even beyond it—there were platforms that successfully supported the entire vehicle lifecycle: from the first day of ownership, through ongoing maintenance, all the way to reselling the car at a competitive price. This insight helped us identify what the market was doing well, and where meaningful opportunities for improvement still existed.


We realized that owning a car shouldn’t be a hassle—it could be simple, even enjoyable. But to make that vision a reality, we needed to look at the bigger picture. Car ownership isn’t just about drivers; it’s a two-sided journey that includes the service providers and shops that keep vehicles running. By connecting car owners with these local providers through a single, seamless platform, we aimed to create a solution that adds value to both sides—making life easier for drivers while helping service businesses thrive.

The Process

One step at a time

Our journey began with a simple question: how can we make car ownership effortless and enjoyable in a region where the experience was fragmented and chaotic? To find the answer, we looked beyond borders—studying the automotive landscape across Saudi Arabia, Europe, and the UK—examining what worked, what didn’t, and where opportunities were being missed.

Armed with these insights, we moved fast. Sketches turned into wireframes, wireframes into low-fidelity prototypes, and with each iteration, we brought in users from diverse backgrounds across the region. We listened closely to their stories, their frustrations, and their desires, learning what truly mattered to them and what gaps needed filling.

With this understanding, we crafted an application tailored to the unique rhythms of the regional market—one that made sense not just for car owners, but also for the service providers who support them. And to ensure lasting engagement, we introduced a loyalty and incentive system, designed around benefits that users genuinely valued, turning routine maintenance into a rewarding experience.

Step by step, insight by insight, we built a platform that didn’t just serve a market—it transformed the way people experience car ownership.

The Result

Checkpoint Reached, Journey Onward

After six intense months of dedication, iteration, and collaboration, we reached a point where everyone involved looked at the results and knew—this was the direction to move forward. Through multiple design iterations and careful refinements, we shaped what would become the MVP, ensuring every detail aligned with the vision. As development progressed, we worked closely with the engineering team, providing guidance and rigorously testing the application to perfect every aspect.

With the release approaching, the stakes were high—we had poured our hearts and souls into this project. The payoff was immediate: the supporting marketing campaign drove over 5,000 downloads in the first two months and nearly doubled that number by the six-month mark.

Today, CarHub stands as one of the most successful automotive applications in Saudi Arabia, a testament to the journey, the team’s dedication, and the vision we set out to achieve—with plenty of room to grow.
